We are based in Wexford, so there may be a additional travel charge, but we will let you know when we are checking our availability.
Does your quote include dj equipment hire? Yes, of course!. We took delivery in 2010 of a new 2000 watt sound system from QSC Audio, suitable for upto 350 guests. QSC are leaders in concert sound systems, in the USA. We will also bring a suitable lighting system. How soon can i book? We are currently accepting bookings for 2012/13/14. Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis. Once we are gone, we are gone! Saturday would be the most requested day, followed by Friday, Thursday and Monday (especially bank holiday ones). September would traditionally be our busiest wedding month.
To make a booking, simply call or email Alan to check availability. If you would like to proceed with a booking, we usually take a deposit of €75 for afterband gigs or €100 for full evening receptions, with the balance payable on the night. Once we have received your deposit, we will post you out a confirmation letter, and also set up a account for you at our website. Deposit cheques/drafts/postal orders can be made payable to "DJ Hire" and posted to us at our contact address.
We hold provisional bookings without a deposit for 2 weeks. We would not consider ourselves booked unless a deposit has been paid, and a confirmation letter has been posted out before the wedding.
We would always suggest to you to get written confirmation, when booking any service for your wedding. Dj Hire is registered with the Companies Registration Office (Registration No. 171516) at Dublin Castle.
What time does the music usually start? If you were sitting down for your evening meal at 6pm, it would usually be 9.30pm when
your entertainment would start, and you would be called for your first dance. Most bands
will do a two or two and a half hour set, with a short break for evening refreshements. The
Dj would usually play from 12am to 2am depending on finishing times at your venue.
What time will you arrive? We are always at your venue at least one hour before our agreed start time, and in most cases, it will only takes us 25 minutes to set up. When we are playing after a band, we always set up to the side of the band so as soon as they finish their set, we can start immediately and keep the party going.
We will always contact you again the week of your wedding, to confirm start/finish times and discuss any last minute changes/requests.
What music do you play? We carry a wide variety of music to suit everybody attending your event. We normally suggest playing a good party mix of the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s & today to ensure your guests enjoy themselves as much as you, on your special day.
We also have a exciting feature here called "Jukebox Live" where our clients can access our music collection online, pick their own favourite songs and compile a personal playlist, which we will gladly play for them on their special night.
